The Board of the Plantation Acres Homeowners Association (PAHA) supports the transition of the Plantation Acres Improvement District (PAID) from an Independent District of the State of Florida to a Dependent District under the City of Plantation. At its meeting on Monday, April 27, the PAHA Board unanimously voted in favor of this transition. The Board believes this change will enhance accountability, improve operational efficiency, provide access to a broader range of resources, and ensure more consistent and standardized governmental processes under a single, centralized authority. PAHA’s position in support of this transition does not detract the Board's appreciation for the hard work and dedication demonstrated by the PAID Commissioners over the past year. Residents are encouraged to attend the next PAHA meeting on Tuesday, May 19th at 7 PM at Volunteer Park to learn more about the proposed transition, ask questions, and stay informed about its potential impact on the community. An agreement was successfully negotiated with the highest scoring firm and on 04/15/2026 our council approved $385,000.00. The plans look amazing. There will be a 60’x60’ area with an installed safety surface that is entirely covered by shade fabric – and of course playground equipment including swings with bucket seats, belt seats, and ADA seats. The vendor estimated 3 months weather permitting for completion. Click the title for more details.
